THE Next BEGINING
THE NEXT BEGINING
In the beginning, chaos reigned.
My life was a sea filled with darkness
Spread as far as my heart could see
The depths opened beneath my feet
I was sinking, my hand the only one afloat
A touch, a sensation, a link
I was pulled from the depths, half complete
Words fail to describe the beauty I saw
She was my 𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒔 𝟏:𝟑
An inferno waiting to embrace
A four-leaf clover I never sought
My singularity about to unfold
She placed her lips on mine
Whispering essence into my lungs
With life's breath, I was whole
And in her image, I became
I could feel what she felt
Her heart became a hymn
Her lungs forgetting how to breathe
Her skin crawling, all because I was close
Thoughts of forever arose
I could plant my seeds, I thought
Our roots would outlive our lives
Into eternity they'd grow
Everything that begins must one day end
Perhaps even us
But if the universe begins again
Would I find her in the next beginning?
Even if I don't remember her in my next aeon
My fingertips will still feel her touch
My lips will remember hers
My heart will hymn in her name
In the beginning, love reigned.
And her spirit was hovering over my waters
Light spread as far as my heart could see
I was afloat, I was whole
